A New Year Story

A short story...


There was this boy who fell in love with this girl. He admired this girl because she's sweet, funny and jolly. Her smile makes his heart beat so fast. Everyday he does nothing but think about this girl. The only problem is, the girl doesn't know him at all.


And one day, he decided to approach the girl, to be friends with her. She happily accepted him as her new friend and the boy was happy. They went out together several times. And they got to know each other more, the boy's feelings for her became deeper and deeper. He was happy. And she was happy. 


Then the boy decided to admit his feelings. He waited, and waited, until the special day arrived. He gathered all his courage and went to the girls house, to confess. He arrived and the girl greeted him with a smile. That special smile that made his heart stop. He felt that he could do anything. After making his deepest breath, words started to come out. He told her how much he likes her and that if given the chance, he'll prove it. He was ready, no matter what her answer might be, he was ready.


The final word came out and he nervously waited for an answer. The girl suddenly flashed a bright smile, brighter than the fireworks that was making a huge display on the sky. She looked at him and he looked at her. The boy almost jumped with joy after the girl said the words that he was waiting for. She has given him a chance. A chance to prove his sincerity A chance to prove to her how much he likes her.
